String Trio at Lords Cricket Ground
We were absolutely delighted to be asked to perform at Lords Cricket Ground for a private dinner for the England Cricket Team. We tailored our repertoire for the event, performing a mix of uptempo popular music. It was a true honour, and we look forward to performing at more sporting events in the coming months.
The Event
Lords Cricket Ground is one of the most iconic sporting venues in the world, and performing there for a private dinner in honour of the England Cricket Team was a genuine highlight for the Secret Strings String Trio. The evening called for music that matched the occasion — prestigious, but with energy to match the celebratory mood of the room.
Tailoring the Repertoire for a Sporting Occasion
Rather than a traditional, purely classical set, we built a programme of uptempo popular music for the evening — arranged for string trio to suit the formality of the venue while keeping the atmosphere lively throughout dinner. This kind of bespoke programming is something we do for every private event, matching the setlist to the audience and the occasion rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all set.
String Trio for Sporting and Private Dinner Events
This performance is a good example of how a string trio can suit occasions well beyond weddings:
- Private dinners at sporting venues and clubs
- Award evenings and end-of-season celebrations
- Corporate hospitality events tied to major sporting fixtures
- VIP receptions where an elegant but energetic atmosphere is needed
